About us
Direct Spex opened in May 2002, with the mission statement ‘Seeing Clearly at the Right Price'. Our aim, as it was then, is to provide good old fashioned customer service at an affordable price.
We are an independent optical dispensers, not part of any large multiple, we have just the one shop in Fareham, Hampshire, and we do not test eyes. Because of this, our overheads are lower (we do not have to employ ophthalmologists or hire expensive sight-testing equipment) and we pass these savings on to you.
At Direct Spex there are four members of staff:
Sarah Prideaux (Director of the Company)
Leigh Spampinato (Manager)
Jacqueline Smith (Optical Assistant)
David Prideaux (Sarah's Dad - self-confessed ‘general dogsbody').
And of course the Company mascot, Bailey, Sarah's cocker spaniel!
In our shop, you will find a friendly and relaxed ‘family' environment. We work together to provide our customers with what seems to have become a rather outdated notion of ‘customer service'. We will help you choose the right lens for you, the right frames for you and will make sure that when you collect your spectacles, you are 100% happy with them, not matter how long that takes!
We do not work for commission or bonuses.
Your recommendation to friends and family is the most important part of our service and we want to be sure that when you have visited Direct Spex, you'll never want to go anywhere else again.
